About Barbara

"Welcome to Barbara's Baskets of Wishes, located in Dresden, Ontario. I am Barbara McCaughrin, Brantford born and raised and happily married to Dave since 2004. I have 4 stepchildren and the newest member of our family is Roxy, our german shepherd.

After working in the medical field for 25 years, I decided to change careers. After moving to Dresden, I had a long commute to Kitchener's St. Mary's Hospital and the girls I worked with helped me come up with "Baskets of Wishes". They brainstormed their ideas during those long night shifts and for that I am thankful. My website is dedicated to my good friend and colleague, Barbara Jayne Glover, who wrote pages of ideas and designed my logo.

Due to her untimely passing, she never had a chance to see my business come alive, but I know she is looking down from above and smiling. We opened our doors in October 2005, relocated in 2007 to expand our present business to include a bakery and summer ice cream.
